Trend Alert: Woodland Theme

Make no mistake about it: rustic, woodland-themed weddings are still big. Really big. And with the weather in Texas generally mild through the winter - okay, Icepocalypse aside - we expect to see this continue through the winter and into the spring. Woodland elements are so earthy, romantic and humble yet beautiful. Pull this theme off by incorporating lots of wood details, such as wooden invitations, tree trunk or stump stands or displays and tree bark. Woodland details provide interest and texture, and you really see that in burlap touches, lace and floral design. Here are a few of our favorite woodland touches:

We were super-excited to hear Pantone announce that their Color of the Year for 2014 is Radiant Orchid! We love all shades of purple - our logo is purple, have you noticed?! - and we have planned many weddings over the past few years featuring purple-centric color palettes.
