Based on the designer’s original watercolor artwork, Stevie Streck Designs invitations are lovely, unique and whimsical. She offers several designs that are just perfect for all of the social events that go along with weddings: engagement parties, wedding showers, bachelorette parties, bridal luncheons and rehearsal dinners. Nearlyweds and cakeophiles, mark your calendars! The 3rd Annual Texas Wedding Guide Platinum Cake Competition will be held on March 13, in the Pegasus Grand Ballroom of the Magnolia Hotel. The evening will delight brides and grooms with hors d'oeuvres, cocktails and, of course, CAKE!

Last year, Stardust's own Marsha and Jenny were honored to serve on the secret judges' panel. The event was a blast and the cake was phenomenal! It was a tough competition, but Opulent Cakes took the cake with the Best Taste Award while The Cake Guys snagged the coveted Best in Show title. Stardust Selected as Dallas Salon Partner on TLC’s New Wedding Reality Show

Stardust Celebrations is thrilled to announce that we have been chosen to partner with renowned “Say Yes to the Dress” wedding stylist Randy Fenoli on his new TLC series, Randy to the Rescue! This exciting new show focuses on a pop-up salon concept in several top wedding markets, and Stardust is the first salon partner on the “Say Yes to the Dress” spin-off’s eight-city tour.

Eager brides will line up around city blocks for their chance to get advice from one of the most trusted names in wedding style, Randy Fenoli. On every episode of this splashy new series, Randy will roll into a different city in a tractor-trailer packed to the gills with wedding dresses. The first stop is Dallas on December 11 at the Hilton Anatole, and the concept will feature Fenoli, working alongside Stardust bridal consultants, styling brides in his signature “head-to-hem” approach.

Stardust Gowns to be Featured at AACWP Fashion Show

We are so excited to be showcasing some of our most fabulous gowns at the AACWP Annual Fashion Show on Monday evening! Stardust is bringing NY Fashion Week to Dallas, where we will present the latest in bridal, bridesmaids and special occasion/mother gowns and dresses from the likes of Jim Hjelm, Lazaro, Claire Pettibone, Simone Carvalli, Jovani, Victoria Nicole and more! The theme is "Expect the Unexpected" and we will have plenty of surprises in store for the elite group of wedding professionals. We can’t wait!

Stardust Hosts Royal Wedding Viewing Party for Industry Friends

Florists, entertainers, photographers and more gathered to watch the wedding.

As is only fitting for a wedding-centric business, last Friday, Stardust hosted a Royal Wedding Viewing Party for several of our beloved vendors and wedding industry friends. After all, not many can appreciate the pomp and circumstance that accompanies a royal wedding like those in the biz! It was such a blast to relax and enjoy THE wedding with fellow wedding professionals; a nice change to be a “guest” rather than working the event as so many of us do! Everyone had a great time watching the wedding unfold as we were FINALLY privy to all of the glorious details that were kept secret for so long!

Many of our guests donned hats as we sipped tea and noshed on fabulous finger sandwiches, fruit & cheese and chocolate dipped strawberries. Romano’s Bakery provided a lovely and delicious cake for the occasion. The party was such a fun way to thank our friends who we work with regularly but who rarely have the opportunity to actually visit our salons.

And of course any brides who were fortunate enough to visit our West Plano salon during this special event were invited to join us as well. We want to say a special “thanks” to Sil Azevedo who captured many special moments from our magical celebration.

StarDust Showcasing Gowns at Gleneagles’ Boas & Bling Event

StarDust Bridal Salon is excited to have been invited to showcase some of our fabulous wedding gowns at the Boas & Bling Bachelorette Event this Thursday at Gleneagles Country Club in Plano. The open house event will feature tips, sweet treats and tastings from our friends Kristin Burke, CWP, and Joanelle Loya, the dynamic duo of customized weddings and events at Gleneagles. You will have the opportunity to enjoy a tour of the beautiful venue, which offers the perfect setting for your elegant wedding reception. The shin-dig will also feature a panel of premier wedding professionals who will dish wedding planning advice and answer your questions! We hope to see you there!

StarDust Founders Chosen as Celebrity Judges for TWG’s Cake Contest

Our own Marsha and Jenny were honored to serve as celebrity judges for the Texas Wedding Guide’s 2nd Annual Platinum Cake Competition this past Tuesday night! Held in the Pegasus Ballroom of the Magnolia Hotel, the contest was between several of the area’s top wedding bakeries who competed for the top honors of Best in Show and Best Taste. Guests at the event included brides-to-be and their grooms and many illustrious wedding professionals.

Attendees started the night by enjoying cocktails and hors d’oeuvres and were then treated to a compilation video featuring the bakeries. Then each baker was announced and headed to their competition table. Partygoers meandered throughout the room, tasting the luscious wedding cake samples and voting on Best in Show, while the Celebrity Panel of Judges, seated at the front of the ballroom, enjoyed bites from all nine fabulous cakes to crown the winner of the Best Taste award.

Joining Marsha and Jenny on the celebrity panel of judges were Chef Paul Zofsak of the Magnolia Hotel, Bronwen Weber of Frosted Art , Chef Arturo Romanillos of Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, TWG Bride Susan (George) Jackson, winner of the Texas Wedding Guide Dream Team Wedding Giveaway, and another Bride selected from the audience.

The bakery contestants included: Opulent Cakes, Sugar Bee Sweets, Crème de la Crème, Sweet Memories Cakes & Catering, Elegant Cakery, Romano's Bakery, The Cake Guys, Elena's Cakes and The Classic Gourmet.
