2014 Celebrity Weddings Recap

Whoa, was 2014 ever a year for celebrity weddings! From actors to athletes and singers to models, seems like every time we turned around, anybody who was somebody was tying the knot! As we wind down the eventful year, we thought it would be fun to look at some of this celebrity wedding gorgeousness!

We'll kick things off highlighting a local wedding that happened just this past weekend! Former model and fashion guru Lauren Scruggs and E! News host Jason Kennedy married this Friday at the Four Seasons in Las Colinas. Here are a few exclusive pics from E! Isn't this photo gorgeous? And we just love that cake!

Another style icon, Olivia Palermo, was also stunning on her big day, when she wed model Johannes Huebl. The photos from Palermo's style blog show us that both of these beautiful people are incredibly chic.

There were several really big weddings this year. The highly anticipated and much-speculated-about wedding between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt ended up being a sweet family affair, where the couple's children served as wedding planners and designers. Here are a few shots of their special day from People:

Another biggie was, of course, the Italian nuptials of George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin. Model Amal looked stunning in her lacy gown during their resort wedding, as well as her chic pantsuit she wore to their civil ceremony in Venice. Thanks to Instyle for these gorg photos. Oh, and check out the hot little fringed number Amal wore at the reception! p.s. George doesn't look too shabby either!

Another relatively recent celebration was the red rose saturated wedding of Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg. Check out these pics from Us Weekly.

Former Disney darling Ashley Tisdale is all grown up and showed us her fabulous fashion sense in her lovely wedding to musician Christopher French. Ashely shared these images of her special day on her Instagram account.

A couple of sweet little weddings that surprisingly garnered a lot of attention were the ceremonies of two of the Duggar sisters - Jill and Jenna - from the reality show, 19 Kids and Counting. Probably the most-talked about detail was the saving of each girl's first kiss until their wedding day, but we have to say that what we noticed is that these cute girls both made very lovely brides.

There were a few other reality star weddings this year, such as the Bachelor's Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici's wedding (thanks, People!):

Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi tied the knot with baby daddy Jionni LaValle. (photos via www.SnookieNicole.com)

And, of course, the fabulous wedding of fashionista Lauren Conrad (photos from Popsugar):

While she may not have found her happily ever after on The Bachelor or The Bachelorette, Emily Maynard is well on her way with her new husband, Tyler Johnson, whom she married in a rustic glam event (photos: People).

And, who could possibly forget the beautiful wedding of Kimye? We are STILL gaga over Kim Kardashian's stunning gown with the plunging back and the incredible flower wall that served as the ceremony backdrop for her wedding to Kanye West! (photos: E!)

Another pair of sisters married this year: the Simpsons. Jessica, who married longtime love Eric Johnson went for ultra glam (photos: People) while Ashlee opted for more of a boho chic vibe in her wedding to Evan Ross, son of Diana Ross (photos via Ashlee's own website):

One more little sister of a better-known sibling celebrated in beautiful style: Jamie Lynn Spears, in her wedding to James Watson (photos via International Wedding Institute).

So many amazingly stylish actresses said "I do" this year, as well! Kaley Cuoco shared some fun memories from her wedding to tennis star Ryan Sweeting on her Instagram account. We don't know about you, but we are still swooning over her pink wedding gown and that incredible upside down wedding cake suspended from a chandelier!

Alexa Vega of Spy Kids fame looked beautiful in her romantic Mexico wedding to Carlos Pena, Jr. of Big Time Rush (photos: Us Weekly).

As did Daniela Ruah of NCIS: Los Angeles during her interfaith Portugal wedding to Dave Olsen (images via www.danielaruahfans.com and www.interfaithfamily.com).

Gone Girl's Casey Wilson married David Caspe, whom she met when they worked together on Happy Endings. (photos: Us Weekly)

The fabulous Piper Perabo of Covert Affairs and Coyote Ugly married Stephen Kay in a New York City wedding. Love their funky style! Not only were they cool enough to walk to their reception accompanied by a New Orleans style band, but Piper marched to her own beat in this amazing nude and silver metallic wedding gown and gold veil (thanks, Popsugar for the pics).

We shared these pics right after the wedding, but Rookie Blue's Missy Peregrym looked so stunning in her Amanda Wakely gown when she married Chuck's Zach Levi, we just had to post them again (photos: Eric Blackmon via E!). BTW, StarDust carries this fabulous gown!

Okay, seriously, there were dozens more celebrity weddings this year, and we cannot possibly cover them all, but we have a few more that we must share with you because the couples look absolutely radiant in love!

We hope you enjoyed this stroll down memory lane, reviewing so many fantastic celebrity weddings during 2014. Where any of you inspired by a celeb wedding this year, so much so that you'll take your cue from their incredible sense of style in your own wedding planning? We look forward to seeing what trends make it in 2015!
