StarDust Team in Vegas, Baby – for a Convention

At StarDust, we are all about training, growing, learning…really doing anything to help us become better at everything we do for our brides and grooms. From keeping on top of the most fashion forward bridal styles to forecasting wedding planning trends to seeking more ways to take our customer service to the next level, we research, network and attend courses and seminars to help equip us to continually offer our clients the very best.

StarDusters Marsha, Devan, Jenny, Lara and Laura are joined by
industry friend (and AACWP Executive Director) Micki
This week, several members of our team have been in Las Vegas for the Wedding MBA Convention. This enlightening week is jam-packed with incredibly valuable information to assist wedding industry people in improving their businesses and better serving brides. It is always one of the must-attend national conferences in the wedding industry and with good reason!
Laura and Devan soak up the wisdom from The Knot's Carley Roney!

The three-day event featured renowned industry experts as speakers, such as The Knot cofounder Carley Roney; Darcy Miller, editorial director of Martha Stewart Weddings; and top executives from several leading industry companies such as WeddingWire.com, Perfect Wedding Guide, and OffbeatBride.com. Each seminar was geared toward educating and advising wedding business professionals on relevant topics such as:
  • the place of technology – especially social media – in the wedding world
  • elegant wedding style that transcends time
  • cultural nuances of ethnic weddings
  • finding ways to continually ignite creativity
  • tips on getting your clients’ weddings published
  • international wedding trends
  • understanding today’s brides and how to tailor services to them.
Just to name a few. Whew! Between the abundant breakouts, there were networking events, shows and tours.
This is THE wedding chapel in Vegas to visit - inside you'll find a convertible pink Cadillac, plenty of ambiance smoke and an Elvis impersonator! See more pics on our Facebok page!

While we are serious about being the best in the biz, we also like to cut loose and have some fun!
It was an exciting, exhausting, amazing few days, and we cannot wait to bring home what we’ve gleaned and put it all into practice!
