Avoid the Rush (Charges) and Stress – Order Early!

We are encountering a strange phenomenon in the bridal industry this year. Many brides are trying to order their wedding gowns way too close to their wedding days or portrait dates. As they saying goes, time is money, and when you don’t allow enough time for your gown to be made, you might be stuck paying BIG rush fees.

A few months ago, we started noticing this becoming a problem when brides who waited too long to order their bridal gowns started incurring higher rush charges. As time went on, we discovered that this trend is not unique to Dallas and some wedding gown companies are struggling to keep up with the last-minute rush demand. They even occasionally cannot deliver gowns in time! The companies cannot accommodate the rush requests because there are simply too many!

Sweet brides, we all know the last thing you need is stress regarding your wedding dress! At Stardust, we strongly urge brides to purchase their wedding gowns seven to eight months before their wedding date. This will ensure that you have four to six weeks for alterations and two months to take your bridal portrait before your wedding. Since the wedding gowns at Stardust are custom made, it takes approximately four to five months to make the gown, depending on the designer. Please do not worry about losing weight. Most gowns can be altered at least two sizes without any problem.
