How did you get started in the wedding industry and when? I photographed my first wedding in 1982, (I was a kid) and shot architectural till the 90s (my dad was an Architect). My clients started asking about weddings and boom, instant biz.

What sets you apart from other vendors? We have been in Dallas market longer than most; we are not trendy, we shoot timeless images. If you look at 50-70s life magazine photos, sometimes you can’t tell what year it was, that’s our goal.

What do you do for fun besides weddings? Travel, museums, food…we are all film buffs, especially documentaries. I see about 2-3 documentaries a week.

Why do you enjoy working with wedding planners? From a photographer’s standpoint it's nice to be hands-off on the wedding day. Brides look to us for help with organization when no planner is on hand, which takes away from what we do – capturing emotions.
What is your favorite thing about working w/ a StarDust Celebrations planner? Smooth, fun and yet professional.

Do you have any funny or memorable stories you can share about working with one of our planners? I'll have to think about this one.

What is the best single piece of advice you could give to brides? Every wedding day has its own story; yours will be unique. Rain or shine you will still get married, have a joyful day. The wedding day is not only a union of two people but a union of families, friend and even vendors; after the wedding is over I will always be the guy that documented your day with photographs. Great images last generations, and that gives me a warm feeling. When looking at old photographs I often wonder about the other side of the picture, the photographer who made the image.
